Not only is the beautiful hardback of Where the Light Gets In now in the shops, the outdoor advertising posters are up! There is NOTHING more incredible than being on a train pulling into a station and seeing a poster for your own book. It brought tears to my eyes. Would you look at this…
Isn’t it amazing? Then my best friend texted me another to prove she’d spotted one on her way home via Victoria station… If you’ve seen a gorgeous poster on your travels, please send me a pic – I would love to see them.
The finished hardback is also pretty beyond my wildest dreams: gold daschsies in the endpapers, lovely matt blue dustjacket and glittering foil butterflies – it’s a lovely thing to hold. It was published on Thursday last week and is already flying off the shelves: bargain hunters, please note that it’s currently just £5 in Tesco and ASDA, and half price in WH Smiths – about the same price as a coffee and a muffin, and cheaper than a paperback! To whet your appetite, here is the prologue, in which Lorna the heroine says goodbye to someone who’ll change her life, and meets a new friend whose life she will change beyond all recognition…
